Acting colleges are fun way for someone to learn acting and also make lasting connections that might be able to help them done the line when they enter the crazy acting job field. This is definitely a big benefit of acting colleges.

Acting colleges give the serious actor places to not only learn about the dramatic arts, but it also allows them to become a complete, well-rounded individual. This can be the actor’s secret weapon. The more you have to pull from as far as life experience, the better actor you might be. Acting colleges will no doubt help give you with life experience.

Acting colleges come in all shapes and sizes. You don’t have to go to the most famous ones to be successful. Sure, it might be nice to go to Julliard if you can, but the chances of getting in there are slim. Should you quit? No way. There are too many other options. If you decide to attend one of the acting colleges where you are a big fish in a small pond, you might actually get more opportunity than if you were a small fish in a big pond at UCLA. Not always, but it never hurts to stick out in the crowd a little bit when it comes to show biz.

The bottom line is this: don’t get caught up into whether the acting colleges you want to go to will except you. Do your best at the acting colleges that do accept you and you will be on your way.
